This is a poster design to be used for the 41st Air National Guard Bowling Tournament, 2004. Colorado played host to the tournament, which was to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The objective was to create a graphic, which would excite and inspire members from across the 54 states and territories to come to Las Vegas for a weekend of bowling and comradery, helping to expand the Air National Guard community.
With Colorado and Las Vegas both possessing strong Wild West mystics, a typical western theme was employed in this design. The tiger-striped jet was chosen for its visual appeal and for its recent use as the COANG's submission for the 2003 Tiger Meet of the Americas aerial competition. The color scheme for the image was thus modeled around the orange and blue of the jet, while maintaining focus the western theme.
The bowling pins and background were rendered in Corel Bryce. The jet, background and text were composited in Adobe Photoshop. All elements were photographed or created by the artist.
